Dear Ron & Tracye,

Ron saved us the hassle of finding a yacht broker by befriending us as we took the For Sale notice off our newly-purchased boat in Opua.

He outlined the process and presentation required to sell Meridian Passage, a 45 foot Whiting sloop. Then he and Tracye professionally carried out their plan for the sale.


The photos drew immediate responses and one of these resulted in the Sale and Purchase Agreement. Ron spent a lot of time researching and ensuring both parties were informed at all stages in the process. He was always on hand to witness and understand the survey procedures and results. He also explained any implications from the surveys, using his broad knowledge of boats in general.

Ron calmly directed the process to a satisfactory conclusion and with his sailing training background, he was enormously helpful in getting the prospective owner to feel confident in the yacht’s handling at sea-trial.

Overall, Ron and Tracye were extremely kind and respectful in selling what was our beloved yacht to a family who will cherish her and make wonderful memories, as we did.

Selling such a great boat for the local market, 53 feet, selling abroad to a buyer who never visited the boat, managing haul out, survey, mechanical expertise, sea trial, contracts timetable, settlement all of that in less of 4 months in a Covid 19 period, AMAZING !
